Tracking COVID-19 symptoms is one of the ways Duke is working to keep the community safe as operations expand.

Symptom monitoring is no longer required for asymptomatic faculty and staff. However, any new symptoms for faculty and staff should be reported, even if you think they may be related to allergies or some other issue. See the full list of symptoms. If you are unsure, err on the side of caution and report potential coronavirus symptoms.

Report New Symptoms

Employees can report new symptoms in one of two ways:

  • You can access your personal My COVID Link page here to complete the “Report New Symptoms” link.
  • Or, you can call 919-613-0520 to submit your symptom survey using an automated voice response system. You will need your 7-digit Duke Unique ID ready when you call.

After reporting, employees should check their Duke email for additional instructions from Employee Occupational Health and Wellness.

Go to Duke Human Resources: Employee Health COVID Guidelines to learn more.

SMS Notifications

On rare occasions, Duke may communicate with students and employees about symptom monitoring and COVID testing via SMS (text messaging). You can change your preferences by clicking here. To the right of Duke United Testing, check the box under SMS to receive text notifications or uncheck the box to opt out.
